Introduction

I am a compassionate, committed and very experienced Integrative Psychotherapist and Supervisor, working in private practice at the Mind Garden Therapy centre since 2015.

I have also worked in education, within the NHS, the community, Mental Health services and in the workplace. I am familiar with the unique challenges these environments can present. I keep up to date with the latest developments in therapy and counselling by continued training, research and reading.

The approach I use is called humanistic, which means that I start from the belief that each of us has the ability to self-heal. The therapist or counsellor is there to help by offering support when difficult emotions, painful feelings or unhelpful ways of behaving make life hard. I am also experienced in working with the creative arts, which can be used in therapy alongside talking.

Having completed the Level 1 Internal Family Systems training IFS Therapy. I am a qualified IFS Therapist.

The Internal Family Systems (IFS) method is a way to understand your internal system and help it to transform and heal. IFS is based on the principle that there is an undamaged, resourceful self at the core of every person and that accessing and working with that self is a safe, effective way to heal other, hurt parts of the mind. (IFS UK)

My way of working is always to focus on the client and their concerns.
