Introduction
Hi, my name is Dan and I’m an experienced integrative BACP accredited therapist supporting those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship problems, low self-esteem, grief/loss along with the many other challenges that we might encounter as human beings.
I have a humanistic, holistic, person-centred core approach which is informed by various theoretical frameworks, so my approach really tailors the work to your specific needs. I will aim to meet you at wherever you are at and together we can explore your thoughts and feelings and work to find a way forward for you. Therapy can allow you space to consider your relationship with yourself and help promote understanding, self-awareness and change. Alongside that it might be useful to develop some strategies to cope with whatever you are experiencing.
I believe that through the power of the therapeutic relationship we can be empowered to grow and I therefore strive to offer a calming, friendly, supportive and confidential space to talk things through.
Having worked with university students in one of the most diverse universities in the UK for many years I do have particular specialism of working with those aged 18-30. I have also worked with adults at counselling services in both Essex and the West Midlands and also via a GP surgery.
I look forward to working with you.
