Whether you’re a child therapist or a therapist who works with adults, no-one is untouched by the crisis in youth mental health.
Join us for a workshop on February 11 at Mind Garden Therapy Centre, Reading, that delves into the causes of this crisis and what we can do as therapists to support young people and the people who care for them.
Youth mental health has reached a crisis point with 18% of children aged 7-16 and 26% of young adults aged 17-19 suffering with a mental health condition (Gov.uk).
This 3 hour workshop will look at and consider the reasons for the increase in children and young people seeking mental health support. It will address issues of post-Covid anxiety, social media and the impact of global warming on our children and young people. The workshop will explore how we can offer therapeutic support to children, young people and adults caring for and working with this group.
How much: £45
When: February 11, 2024, 10am-1pm
Where: Mind Garden Therapy, London Street, Reading, RG1 4SQ
The event will be a mixture of discussion and experiential learning. The focus is for counsellors and psychotherapists from various settings to feel they have a robust understanding of the unique issues facing this young client group.
